It’s that time of year again, and one of my favorites is available at select bakeries around Toronto. Hanukkah doughnuts, or as they are called in Hebrew: sufganiyot. Sufganiyot are ball-shaped doughnuts that is first deep-fried, then pierced and injected with jelly or custard, topped with powdered sugar. How can you go wrong with that?
I get mine at Kiva’s in the north end of the city. They usually have them with different types of fillings like strawberry, cherry and blueberry.
